What to do with those skill points..... Perhaps I will put them into Runecraft after I get a good Fumblefingers quest that offers it.

I still need a lot to be a real contender. I think I may drink a bunch of Potions of Corruption and see if I can get Swap Positions and Midas Touch.

Swap Positions will make Nether and Void a breeze. Midas Touch will make a level of deep Angband worth a lot, but I'll have to scum levels over and over to get the half-billion AU needed to buy Magic Breath.

I think I'll try to finish every normal dungeon before I complete the main quest.

In case you're wondering, I am collecting all true artifacts and putting them in houses and museums.
This way I will not have to see them as often in loot. (I think) The ring of Durin allows me to bypass potions of corruption to use Midas Touch, but still leaves me wanting some form of teleportation, preferably Swap Positions.

I recieved a death fate for level 19, so I guess I'll wait until I finish the Void and Melkor before I try Mirkwood. I don't think I've experienced a death fate yet. I wonder if it's avoidable...

This is turning into a day in the life of my character, so I'll shut up for now.

Death fates are avoidable in the sense that you can theoretically survive them. As I recall from mine, level 19 will be essentially a pack of insanely out-of-depth monsters.

Sadly, I tried it while typing this and there were no challenging enemies, just stuff that I would expect at twice the depth. How lame. No uniques either, and when I killed the monsters I was immediately recalled while the game said "Overcome your fate, Mortal!" or something like that.

On another subject. I looked at the r_info.txt and found out the stats of the necromancer and determined that using that body would be worthless to my current character. I would get inate free-action, but I would lose most of my spell points and a lot of health.

If I had the Possession skill I could make that worthwhile.

Just a small hint: I've found the best body to possess (if we ignore Barehand) is Ingeborg the Runemistress if you can manage to get a corpse. She has all slots (though I suppose a Cloak slot isn't nearly as important when you can just buy Magic Breath) and 6 ring slots + 1 extra weapon/shield slot -- oodles of hitpoints IIRC only surpassed by DarkGod and Marylene. Since you only get one shot with the ?oDeincarnation you definitely do want to wait for the ultimate body.
