This started off as an experiment, but now that I know of all the abilities that mindflayers get, this is my favorite character. Precon without the ring, telepathy... you get the point. Oh, and look at the armor. He has had some close shaves, like a time bolt trap which left him nearly dead. I also did the haunted house quest and the ghosts managed to paralyze me. THANK GOD I recovered, must have been the (still low, but high for a mage) armor class. THANK GOD AGAIN for the mindflayer\'s racial blink. I think I\'ll start getting some resists. So far, all I\'ve got is chaos resist. At least that also knocks off confusion. Later levels will also have me pushing up my device skill, along with mastery, spell power, and good ol Tham. Any other suggestions?

Next thing is already too late for this character. I would have said:
\"Don\'t skill Mastery. Skill the skills you actually use.

Mastery skill = * - Health.

That is, Mastery of 50 reduces your Health by 50 %.

Also I advise you to try Eru as your deity. Eru can help save you when you are running from something too powerful.
