Started another rogue after suiciding by Balrog Craft Rogue (Greywing) by accident - boo hoo.

Just an early post because this guy is the first character in a while who seems to be picking up decent weapons early.

He got a {Chaotic} broad sword which was just lying in the Thieve's quest at Chlvl 4. This made the lvl 6 and 12 random quests a walk in the park. Robin Hood on lvl 6 obliged with a randart Broad Sword "Neithangal" which poisoned foes as well as providing res poison + an ego short sword of slay Evil used for cash. Continued usuing {chaotic} bastard sword and cleaned up Gorbag on lvl 12 who provided more ego cash items. The real surprise, however, was Golfimbul in the Orc Camp Quest. For the first time in living memory he dropped something useful (see screenshot)...

Went in to the Orc Quest at chlvl 12 and came out chlvl 15. The randart Battle Axe "Angel of Ruin" is a great weapon for his level.

Must be very careful not to suicide this guy. I enjoy sorcery - nice useful spells. Probably not as good as Craft powerwise but still nice and I felt like something different.

I was just bemoaning the fact that 'Angel of Ruin' only gave me two blows at the moment so considered using Westernesse battle axe when I find a ring of reinforce muscle (+1) on the ground on Angband 15 which takes him to 4 blows with it....

This guy is definitely lucky..... Now just need to find a ring of Damage that's decent but even so - 4 blows with the nice bonus features of the randart Battle Axe for 136 damage is pretty nice at this stage. I can see an early run at mid level quests + Arena to get scroll of Acq. It would be even better if I could pick up phial first to get an extra scroll. With his luck he'll probably pick it up in the next 5 mins. lol.

Don't know why I thought he could take on a Greater Titan with his equipment and 200pts of damage..... 2 rounds and dead quickly.

Admittedly I though I could read a scroll of confusion and scratch away as required but when it didn't work he was toast. Was stubborn and decided to stick it out one more round - duh....

Blackleaf is no more. Long live his brother Redleaf the Chaos Ranger (Nature/Chaos) - think this should be workable combo with Nature's Utility + Confusion and Gravity Beam from Chaos.... Besides Ranger's look good on paper so I thought I'd better try one as I haven't given them a look in Entro/Heng yet.
