This incarnation looks promising. Dump just after going down for the second dive. This dive will be long, provided I can actually find all the stairs before my backpack is full of unidentified Slings... ;)

I will have to buy scrolls of Identify before finding them in the dungeon, because my home cannot contain all those {good} objects.

You've probably got enough disarming to last you the game (with a decent dex later). Switch that xp over to perception.

Don't bother with Gondricam; the war hammer probably is as good or better most ot the time, so don't bother with the sword. Keep it around for bludgeoning resisters and any flags it might have.

There are lots of skills so that you can invest in the useful ones. If you're missing something, increase it. Plus, it'll take the pressure off practicing for a bit.

Too late! Too late! Minimal costs for Perception are already too high. And I don't like changing a theory mid-experiment. :) I guess I will just wait for good enough digging and then drop the scrolls.

Yeah, I've already noticed through !Self Knowledge that Gondricam has SI and resist base. Especially SI is crucial so I walk with Gondricam and fight with the hammer (except monsters that do elemental damage).

Lies! minimal costs are *never* too high. Since XP increases exponentially, it will just get easier and easier to increase skills against the grain. If it isn't, you're probably diving too slow.

Be wary of the war hammer getting destroyed. I'd only swap Gondricam in when I run across something I can't see. Elemental damage isnt' enough to be worrisome until a bit later (more like dlevel40).

I try, but I succumb to every level with a nasty feeling and spend ages on that level wearing cursed weapons, then killing tons of orcs with boulders to get a scroll of remove curse, then wearing another cursed one, etc. :) I guess I would make a good Borg.
