Here's my standard 2 hour post, having killed Smaug, Scatha, and Itangast just under my 2 hour "benchmark". For once, I got something very, very nice from Robin Hood in the first level of the Dragon Caves...Aglarang! At the moment, it really isn't terribly super with my crappy to-hit, but that will change as I practice with it more. The truly practical and very nice find was a Wand of Rockets from some piddly young/mature dragon of some color or another. Four blasts from that sucker reduced the three mid-range dragon uniques to 4 stars instantly. Even so, their cause critical wound spells gave me considerable trouble, especially vs. Scatha. Well, I survived to tell, didn't I?

I also netted myself the Phial from Itangast, and both 3rd books from Scatha alone, as well as backup copies from Smaug, which were subsequently sold. No other real nice finds...just waiting for a bit more stealth before I hit the Cloning Pits.

Probably just an oversight, but if you didn't already know, rings of damage/slaying/accuracy only effect the hand wielding a weapon, so if your left hand is wearing a shield, then there will be no benefit. Likewise, since Aglarang can't be wielded with 2 hands, even if you took your shield off, there would be no benefit.
