I've started playing a Weaponsmith, it sounds interesting. Had the bright idea to make him a Golem for the intrinsics ( Free Action, Res Poison, see invisible + no cuts or stunning ). Also thought I would make him lucky for better item generation for essence extraction. That's all well and good but it meant that he started with Int at 6 and Dex at 12 - which equates to his judgement skill being useless and only having one attack until now at chlvl 20 where he finally has dex at 15 ( 2 pts at lvl10 and 1 at lvl20).

Besides I liked the idea of a Golem manufacturing items - I can roleplay him a bit. Plan will be to try and get a weapon with decent base die damage and add everything to it. Still new to heng and the fact that there's a real absence of high level Weaponsmiths on the ladder lead me to believe I may've chosen a "dumb" combination but I don't care - I'm enjoying it anyway.

PS - I extracted "Dethanc" coz I figured I wasn't going to use it anyway. Anyone know where I might find a diamond edge as I figure that might be a good target for my final manufacured weapon...

Similarly, my Berserker was the only one to find a ?oArtifact Creation in the actual dungeons. (ARGH!! Only class that can't read scrolls finds the most valuable scroll in the game..)

I got another boost to dex on reaching lvl24 (15-->18/11) so things are looking better. Stoneblade also got another boost to his intelligence so he's now quite bright for a Golem (9).

foo - You read my mind. I figured Blade of Chaos would probably be a good choice or a Scythe of Slicing ( which I notice your elf was using)...

Hopefully I'll get to play long enough tonight to get to around lvl 30 and I'll post him then.

Well if you can only add 1 brand/slay to a weapon that would explain the lack of Weaponsmith's on the table. I'm still going to continue with him anyway coz I'm a stubborn bastard... ;-)
