This is probably the luckiest character I've ever played (and one of the slowest). Found a robe of permanence at 650', recalled to town, recalled back, found a rod of speed, went a bit deeper, came down some stairs and saw a granite ring lying on the ground- RoS (+11) at 750'. Nabbed a couple of decent ego items too. This dump was made directly on returning to town- I know I want to sell a lot of what I have on me. I've been waiting to build up a supply of identify scrolls at home before identifying all the items I'm keeping there, mostly harvested from the early levels.

I wouldn't normally post a character this young, but... this guy has had an incredible streak of luck. I fully expect to meet Tiamat at 1050', given that the RNG seems to have gone on a bender.

I didn't do any scumming for this. I repeated levels only when that's how the WoR worked out, while looking for down staircases. But I have explored most of the levels I've been on pretty fully- I don't usually do that.

I have autoscum on, of course (the chances of these finds without it are just astronomical), but even with autoscum, I suspect this this character is an anomaly I'll not see again. (Not that it matters too much in the late game, where this gear is standard- but I'll be irritated if I die before then).

I'm torn between diving fast and being really careful. I'd at least like to get FA before going too much farther, tho I'd normally not worry too much about it cause I have detect monster.
