It's about time I had a character make it past the first quest again. This one has actually made it past two and is looking pretty good. I got a good cloak (for my level) as a reward for the first quest and a good weapon as the reward for the second. The first water elemental took me down to 0 HP, but my last shot killed him and it took me from level 1 all the way to level 10 (as you can see by the character notes section). Hopefully this character can make it farther than any of my others have made it.

With rangers, don't worry about the weapon. Buy all the "enchant weapon to dam and to hit" scrolls you can afford and charge up your bow. You will do far more damage with that than you will with your weapon for all the early part of the game. The weapon you are holding is the best because of the see in visible feature. After you get your bow to +5 damage or so (but get it as high as possible) just shoot everything with arrows and you will see creatures fall much, much quicker.

I would also recommend upgrading to version 0.4.0. There is a store services option in the weapon shop that will allow you to enchant your ammo as well has having your bow enchanted. This way you can increase your dam and to hit even when there are no more scrolls available.
