Guns are definitely my least favourite skill tree, getting a good gun is rare (unfortuntely they all showed up on my previous few games), ammo is destroyed so you can only use it as a support attack however anything that is difficult to kill with melee also resists guns so it's just kind of bad, especially since it requires so many skill points.
