600 feet was this game's way to mock me. First I find Nan, but he's not alone. Shadow spider next to him. I know spiders don't follow past LoS, so I lured him around a corner for a 1v1. Get him low and he starts running. That's okay, I can toss some axes. But just when he was about to fall, he made it to a nearby stairs that would not have been possible had the fight happened where we originally met.

Then I find a great helm of brilliance and mithril greaves of treacherous paths...I need mithril, but not that badly. And I need light, but I also need rFire and rFear! Can't wear two helmets at the same time!

To top it off, I got false floored after only exploring half the level.

Why does a Ururauko hit for (+26,4d10)!? I could try to shoot it with poisoned arrows and hope for a lucky hit but that Kemenrauko's gonna dig its way to me in no time at all.

Two of them were because I didn't manage light well. First one, I wasn't aware Belegwath generated more darkness than other rauko uniques, and didn't respect his damage to heal when I was half HP. I couldn't use flanking because I couldn't see the Ringrauko that was under his shadow and kept running into him. Didn't even bother buffing for the fight. Second one I was changing equipment due to a creeping horror and shadow duo and accidentally left myself with a net of zero light because I forgot about my shadow cloak. Then I was too busy trying to save my _rev staff that it got me surrounded by cats and trolls while I was in the dark. Third one I just got cheesed by a massive horde of Easterling archers, werewolves, Ulfang, and sapphire serpent right after entering a new level and was too stubborn to reset the level even though I knew there was no forge on it. Or to get curse breaking since I was wearing a <-1> Con amulet most of that game and couldn't find _sanctity.

Oh and if RNG is too nice, I'll stop too. Anyways, I'm trying to put a dwarf on every single level from 250 feet to 1000 feet. So far I'm done up to 700 feet.

Found scepter of Thu shortly after...and I'm keeping it for the 2 grace bonus. Means I'll start seeing tougher monsters though, some of which I might actually have to just straight up run from.

On 750, _Foes revealed there is a lone cat assassin, two great cold drakes, a grotesque, some greater werewolves, and two ururaukos. No uniques. It's mostly the great cold drakes that are of most concern. Not sure I can take those since they're 250 feet out of depth.
