This one here should have invested a bit more in the luck stat.

2 use forge on 300 feet. No big deal. Used to 2 use forges by now, as long as they don't come in a row, in which case I don't get a chance to make my loremaster artefact for a very long time. I can play without loremaster, but it bothers me tremendously that I can't ID most of the amulets and rings I come across. This run feels similar to Aeglas's. Hopefully, it won't be completely the same because that'll mean I'll be on 600 feet without loremaster still...

Would be nice if you could actually see your hunger clock. Would make IDing hunger and sustenance rings a lot easier. And avoiding gorged status considering how crippling it is.

350 feet false floored with most of the level unexplored and a ton of loot surrounding me that I never got a chance to pick up.

Was looking really bad for a while, especially after I made a mistake on 400 feet where I forgot that barrow wights slow on LoS just like grave wights and tattered wights. And I got slowed at a very bad time, and underestimated the number of barrow wights in that vault and cornered myself. Was -3 grace drained without ,restoration, so I ate the lembas I found and continued on my way with -2 grace drain. Not the end of the world as long as my strength, dexterity, and constitution were okay. Except I then made the mistake of assuming my Entrapment staff was actually Sanctity, and started use-IDing my amulets. I mean, I thought it was worth the risk considering how bad my inventory situation was. So I was stuck with a -1 Con amulet. I found Fingon not long after though, so I was like, meh, I'll wait a while and see if I can curse myself even harder before taking curse breaking. 41 HP isn't bad.

Just found Uldor on 500 feet. I'm very close to gorged thanks to all the use-IDing of herbs and potions. Consumed my lembas for stat restoration and some bread before tossing the rest out since I didn't have room for them.

Honestly, the terrain doesn't look all that friendly for archer combat. And I don't have opportunist or zone of control yet. Not looking forward to this fight.

Oooo, I forgot I got charge earlier. Nevermind, that wasn't so bad.

This is glorious. I have one of just about every unidentified ring. Except none of them will curse me. And none of them will auto-ID.

Is Ogbar even good... (for killing things other than spiders I mean)?

I don't think I've ever been as happy as when I found that 4 use forge tucked away in a quartz vault. I'm so happy that giant dropped the mattock of belegost or I would have never been able to open the vault and access my forge.

I'm so tempted to make a brass lantern of brightness here. Using a lesser jewel at 500 feet is not exactly wholesome if I have the best interests of my dwarf in mind. But I could also make some gloves of strength out of it...a large upgrade to my vanilla gloves.

Took leaping just so I could grab a 7 charge _rev off a chasm vault. And now a 4 charge _recharging on 550 feet. Aelya's luck's turning around!

Just need that _sanctity and it'd be perfect.

Carrying around a _freedom in case I see more chests. Not sure how high of a will I need, but it worked on 2 wooden chests on 500 feet earlier with just my 5 will.

On 13.4.2017 17:54 protopulse wrote:
I actually have no idea how to use _rev now that I think about it (unless I'm already on 950 feet and have the smithing to make whatever I want). Maybe it's better to just not care about _rev at all until you hit 900 feet or so...

For now, since I have 11 charges, I'll just starting using them on every new level I suppose. I don't trust myself enough to be able to protect them (or protect myself for that matter) until 950 feet.

Found a <+1> Grace amulet, so now I want to get rid of that <-1> Con amulet even more...

How do you use charge optimally...? Other than killing Uldor with it, I don't think I've had much use out of it.

Wonder if Ogbar can kill ancient serpents and grotesques.

Woooooah, LOL. WTF was that? That was so unfair!

Werewolves and sapphire serpent from the right. Ulfang from the left. Get Ulfang low. He runs. Sapphire serpents start wrecking havoc and Ulfang's accompanying Easterling archers sweep in from the side he ran from. I finally lose the sapphire serpent and get a good place to isolate the archers. Except two more easterling archers come up from the stairs! I walk to deal with them, then the Easterling archers come in from the other side. A giant goes, what's up, what's going on here? What's with all the commotion? But he's too late for the action because the Easterling archers already finished the job.

On 13.4.2017 19:13 protopulse wrote:
I could have used more healing there but figured if I had to use all of them there, I wasn't gonna live for too long anyways. And I could have gone right, but there was another stairs there and I had no idea what was hiding there. All Ulfang did was get a lucky crit in. Everything else was the archers. Zzzzz.

On 13.4.2017 19:16 protopulse wrote:
If there was a door there instead of a gap I could have taken out the serpent first, but with that gap, the archers were shooting at me for free.

On 13.4.2017 19:23 protopulse wrote:
Wait. I used _rev on the level and there was no forge. Maybe I should have just fled...would only miss taur-nu-fuin but I'd keep my life.
