Anyway, this guy's pretty fragile. But the phase door ability has been pretty handy since it doesn't break chants. Outpost questor kindly gifted me this lovely ring with ice bolt in exchange for warg slaying. Just that one activation item has allowed me to quickly cut through early game uniques.

Recently took down the hoard, and made away with 400k gold before his minions stopped dropping any more treasure :( Presently hunting knights. The char does surprisingly well at taking down Camelot uniques, but the generic Camelot knights are just painfully slow to kill. I almost can't imagine doing any of this without the gnomish phase door thing - it's just so convenient for repositioning without draining all my mana or wasting turns restarting chants.
