Yes, I still suck at playing casters, but for some reason this one didn't die yet. He is in dire need of some CON potions, though. Luckily noxious cloud can easily kill rooms full of orcs though, and if I can get my hands on the Deathwatch artifacts things will probably get better. Also, gotta love the ability to cast whatever spell I want including identify. :) Thaumaturgy has some nice stuff too: blast - destruction, several beam - arrows as well as beam - confusion and beam - light. And ball - mana but the damage of that one isn't all that great. View - fire is unfortunately too low level to be of much use.
