At 1000' bought a bunch of gear, got free action and see invisible. Couple detection rods, 2 teleport scrolls and a staff. Relying on swap amulets for resist electricity and acid..

Then died immediately at 1050' . Saw the pack of light hounds approaching, and kept firing in their direction although i couldnt see. I thought i could handle them, but what i didnt see was the pack of water hounds also approaching.

In Vanilla or old MAngband, being blind didn't prevent your character from running, so you could easily run away from danger while blind. In TomeNET, you won't be able to run while blind, so hounds will continue endlessly to breathe and blind you forever.
