Here's a somehwat decent Apollo parentage Demigod Wild-talent created in PosChengband

3.3.3. I chose Apollo because of Blindness Resistance and Light Area. Apollo's own

artifact is probably the best one of all of them, in my opinion.

This one took a while to get started from scratch (again, was created in 3.3.3!),

especially since chris made sure that *all* monsters were awake upon ambushes in 3.3.3.

Chris really stepped it up! At one point, I got trapped in the Labyrinth without any way

of getting out given the hard-hitting bombarding monsters until I found a Scroll of Word

of Recall at Labyrinth 19. If it weren't for my Guisarme (Nature) it would have been

game over already.

That said, I'm strolling about in the Labyrinth.

Currently at clvl 27 doing 201 Combined normal damage with 'Anduril', AC 100, zero base speed, 279 MaxHP, and 64 mana.

Finally, back in business. It all started with the Stone of Lore in the remains of a Dark elf at Labyrinth 22. Even then, fighting in the Labyrinth was hectic because I was barely doing 80? Normal damage with a Weapon of Burning at the time compounded by monsters pummelling me left and right nonstop. Alberich destroyed my Guisarme (Nature). I completed several town quests at once as usual. Along the way, I almost got killed by Red Helm just south of Angwil. However, the fun just got real at the Mimic quest. Just before this, I picked up this set of randart Pair of Hard Leather Boots of Belegennon from the Tengu Swords quest, which provided a big STR boost. Awesome, right? Not really. That randart footwear gave a big -4 penalty to my WIS and CON. And you know what? That -4 penalty to WIS hurt *a lot* and nearly had me killed during the Mimic quest. Fortunately, a lucky teleport placed me in a good position giving me enough cover to recover. When I took Belegennon off and re-approached the mimics, the battle was actually more manageable. Thus, I survived. WIS sure did make the difference. But, me finding Anduril and some Olog armour really sealed the deal and made the Mimic quest worth it! And within the 2 hour mark, I found Earendil via the ?Acquirement at Dragon's lair 60.

Also, Apollo's 'Shine' ability is awesome and seems vastly underrated. I had no idea it was this good!

3 hour 3 min mark:
Currently at clvl 28 doing 196 Combined normal damage with 'Anduril', AC 131, zero base speed, 292 MaxHP, and 62 mana.

So far, so good. I found a way to incorporate as much armour as possible while maintaining decent melee damage.

Completed the Labyrinth, Angband 12 & 24 quests, some more town quests, particularly the Sting and Barrow Downs ones. Sequence: Labyrinth -> Angband 12 -> Sting -> Barrow Downs -> Angband 24. The Labyrinth boss was a breeze. The Angband 12 quest was straightforward. Picked up The Pair of Soft Leather Boots of Flora at Angband 11, which was definitely a better choice than the randart Belegennon and certainly a necessary piece of equipment. The Sting quest was a bit tricky with Father Dagon's guest appearance. He was a bit annoying. But, after hitting away stars, I used 'Shine' to finish him off. The rest of the quest was cakewalk. In the end, Sting was still weaker than Anduril. The Barrow Downs quest was fun as well. It was loaded with lots of goods, especial Thranduil. With Nether Resistance on board, the quest. The best part was this - The Cloak 'One Million Volt' [1,+19] {So;Rf[E, Merry Replacement}...And This Merry Replacement had Reflection! The Angband 24 quest was a bit annoying because a Cheerful leprechaun explosive breed was getting out of control while I tried to locate Rich, the Thief. Timely use of Throw Boulder and a melee finish put Rich in his place.

Right now, I'm going to check out the Lonely Mountain for a bit. And RNG had some nerve to make the stairs collapse behind me as soon as entered this dungeon. We'll see what goes.

Not bad. Spending some time in the Lonely mountain leveling up and finding goods. My AC is at a decent 131. My melee damage is now on par after finding a Set of Gauntlets of Slaying and a much needed Ring of Combat with emphasis on damage. My mana pool is improving too. I'll probably stop at Lonely mountain 39 and then head over to other early-game dungeons.

Other than that, I did have a close call when I nearly got killed by King Koopa when I mistakened him for an Ancient green dragon!!
