Inspired by clouded's winner, I started up my own High-elf Warrior. Got lucky early, finding a cloak of Aman early on, along with those beautiful gloves you see there. If I were using a lighter weapon (10 pounds or so) I would be getting three blows. After that I went down a couple levels only to find the first dlvl 20 I run into being Moria. Luckily by now I had three specialty's, and I must say, all three were incredibly useful during the fights. Shield mastery led to effective crowd control, any time I was fighting I was at +5 speed, and I suspect my damage was greatly increased by my extra blows. I slowly killed about half the level, including some humanoids and some Quylthulgs, found two chests, both of which dropped hafted weapons, including my current weapon and that defender. This is nice, because there is a half-troll in the weapon shop, and I wouldn't get any money from him. After killing a lot of monsters, including a Thunder Giant I spent a !speed on, I drop down a trap door 5 spots after finding a -Trap Detection. I'm playing with no_preserve, so I lost Thengel (rconf would have been nice) and Gilettar (I have better). I also got 4 levels there. V should introduce themed levels, they're fun.

Not too much, but with Preserve mode I can not afford to skip these levels.

When in doubt on abilities, athletics is always helpful. 5% hitpoint boost and the +2 to dex and con is good for keeping max blows and max hp. Not very exciting or interesting, but useful. Plus, you can enjoy the glitch that your hitpoints will not be calibrated correctly every time you start the game.
