Now, to watch out for traps or simply monster ambushes. I can't teleport at all at the moment and need to rely on my talents of jelly division to buy time for retreats. Still, that won't always work.

The first equip slot for the jelly is their pseudopod which can either be kept empty for innate attacks, or equipped with a weapon for normal melee. The remaining slots can hold any type of equipable object whatsoever (but weapons won't attack and bows won't shoot).

Conquering the Orc Caves in under 2 hours is pretty fast for me, and it was largely thanks to my first special level containing Barukkeled. Melee went from 46 to 116 not counting the orc slay, so this was quite a turn around. At that point, I could actually handle Trench Wyrms, Griffons, Hippogriffs and Radiant Devus, any of which spelled likely death before hand. With no teleportation (still!) jellies are tough to start. In the meantime, this is one fast Jelly! My previous best was to complete the Orc Caves, and this on about 10 or so attempts. I can teleport with ease now, thanks to my two magnificent staves and this was quite beneficial in the Cloning Pits, where jellies reign supreme. Not many builds would enjoy being surrounded by 50+ exploding ants, but I hardly minded a bit :)

In Heng/Cheng I can max 4 stats (have to leave it roll for a while though). In PosCheng I max three stats as a Hound and it asks me to set new values after a few thousand failed rolls.

As an aside, there is a nice benefit to conquering individual dungeons. If you are used to ignoring them, it might be worth reconsidering (but is by no means required).

Found Slayer on the ground and then an extra large nest of AMHDs. Now, you might think I would dominate them, and I did. Except I managed a couple close calls despite all my resistance. Elemental breathers deserve a *lot* of respect. Just wait for the Norsa!

The take was 8 experience levels, tons of stat potions and other consumables, and a whole slew of new artifacts. I'll put down my 'zerker gloves for a bit to cover up Disenchantment.

The Glaive is too sweet to pass up using, but I had to burn my only New Life at the time in hopes of improving my Dex. I need 18/*** Str and 18/190 Dex to land that 6th blow! And the only way I could pull this off is to give up my Magic Mastery and Trump Card. Now I can teleport in 2 actions with 30% failure. Yuk!

The L88 quest was Oremorj, who is bad, but not terribly awful. Actually, hunger attacks are a problem for the jelly. Especially, the jelly that can't teleport and look for food (Jellies eat objects and gain nutrition depending on the weight of the object). So I was on the verge of hunger paralysis versus Gothmog and that remains an issue in search of a solution. Paralysis is low probability but I recently lost a Spider while fighting Sauron, so it is possible.

Now, where is The Destroyer? I'm carrying a boat load of healing staves for that guy hoping it will be enough.

And what put me out of my misery? Why, a gigantic Sound breath from a summoned Great Wyrm of Law. And I swapped out my only Sound resistance to make room for that Trump Card.
