heck, even grenades do 315 acid damage, 210 otherwise when pumped to +9. Still looking for ego lanterns to try turning into bombs, don't seem to recall finding a single one all game so far...

I don't think this is unbalancing because of 1)you don't always get the brand from the ring, 2)it doesn't return to your hand when thrown and I think the most powerful devices (like grenades) do about this much damage also, and 3)Finding an axe liks this as well as gauntlets of throwing and a cloak with throwing power is pretty rare.
Throwing weapons break much less often than when you throw other things. I think I may have put in something about ego throwing weapons never breaking, but I don't remember for sure (I'll get back to you on that).
