| Tired of the same old pillar-dancing tactics? In Hengband, the random timing system means that even monsters slower than you can double- or triple-move you! Tired of waiting around forever at 1500' looking for stat potions? Characters get a free stat boost every 2 character levels! Tired of killing the same old uniques for those few chances at good drops? Hengband is packed with 250+ uniques, including ones like Santa Claus and the Flying Spaghetti Monster! Tired of the automizer destroying Potions of Life while picking up Red Dragon Scale Mails? Hengband's unique autoprefs file is a mini-programming language for you to specify what and when to destroy or pick up. (As an added bonus, you can see the items you're looking for on the mini-map!) Ukyo is a level 18 High-Elf Warrior who aggravates (always, due to the Sexy personality in Hengband), and already has some great equipment.
