I found that +38 ring two levels up, and promptly did a happy dance. It's amazing at how powerful you feel at level 20, or even 10 or so in this game compared to some, but at the same time you're never quite unafraid of monsters. Been artillerizing a few uniques, bought some stat potions from the black market thanks to a find of 11 javelins of corrosion. Researched Alpha Wired Reflexes, going to try to survive around level 40-35 to get the cash for an install.

I've been reminded of how much I completely loathe the beetle, and no unique I've killed has dropped anything other than a book. Planning on picking up shop and moving to dlvl 35 once I've got alpha eyes. Invisible stuff draining stats I'm also draining casting voorish sign and the like has become a problem.
