You didn't really have an excuse there, as quaffing a !CSW when you reached 0hp (hence the "you are on the verge of death" message) would have allowed you to "wait out" the rest of the poison damage; so !CCW would have been a waste. Casting cure light wounds was an even less expensive options, I can't tell from those logs how many turns you had after the dark elf died, at 0hp obviously a potion is the only choice to make.

Ouch on the =Teleport, they can really screw up your ability to get all the good stuff from a floor before descending. My least favourite cursed ring to "find" (wear) in the early game, actually.
