I think I managed to nock a total of two stars off his health bar before I had to chicken out of the fight. Now I'm off on a shopping tour through Beleriand and the forests of Doriath to at least find a !oSpeed, with some luck !Berserk also and a bit better gear. Interesting item drops so far have been rather abysmal, but maybe that helps my survivability in terms of good RNG relationships ;)

Druids have particular trouble with Mim as he resists the elements - it might be an idea to look in the Lvls 30-40 for wands of Shrapnel and the like (if you find a wand of Drain Life, you're laughing)...
