Oh my, that's propably why the RNG didn't want me to get rid of it. I had to burn > 10 enchantments on it, although the chance per enchantment should be ~ 1/4. Even had to set my travelling merchant on ordering some enchantment scrolls :)
I didn't feel like tramping the countryside with aggravation, so I scummed the Gondolin outskirts for some easy prey and gold veins. Felt rather Borg-like ...

Currently I'm collecting some more goodies for facing Mim, so the next dump update will be after I met the Petty-dwarf (whatever the outcome)

Rather than carry the ring of Cold Res, I think it would be better to be ready to cast the Resist Fire & Cold spell. IIRC it gives more resistance than the item, and with 18/50 WIS the fail rate should be pretty low.

What variant/race/class will you play next? I've already played some O druids and found them pleasant all-round characters, but perhaps a bit too frail.

I've got yet another Druid on the go but it's having a pretty wretched diving experience - she went straight to Nargothrond and dived to about 1900 but at CL22, she can hardly kill a thing with melee or spells...
