For some reason I forgot to use auto-roller, so my CON absolutely sucks for a warrioresque type. (Didn't notice until I had quite a few levels under my belt, so I didn't want to suicide).

I'm not really sure where to go at this point, I've been diving a bit, but it seems that things could go wrong *very* quickly at this point if I step away from the stairs (or if a monster teleports me).

Just a note: Found the Lamp of Gwindor and a !o*Dex* in a minor vault. Considering the current lack of HP and resists I suppose the best idea would be to hang around Dlvl32 a little longer looking for minor vaults.

Apparently stat potions are a lot more frequent (or maybe just vaults?) than in O. Found a !o*Str* in another minor vault.

Just hanging around the entrance to Gondolin looking for minor vaults now: Either I'll gather enough cash to buy a helmet with rBlindness or I'll find something with rBlindness.

@Nick: So it would (theoretically) be better to put the *pots* in the home until all the stats are at 18? Not that it really matters in the long run, but still...

I did try another incarnation who after an early find of BoS (+4) raced to level 50 in no time... He wound up with both Feanor (Bubble Vault) _and_ Deathwreaker (Forge Vault no less)... Of course I died a few levels afterwards because I got careless: I was clearing a GCV when Wiruin breathed cold at point blank and took off something like 900 HP out of the ~750HP. This one was also kind of preventable: I must remember to always have at least 70% rBase and to HEAL UP before opening a square with big breathers... (I only had 40% resist and wasn't at full 1000 HP). I won't post that incarnation as I didn't get a death dump and I savescummed the character (_after_ reaching 50 and getting those neato items mind you!) just to try out Deathwreaker a bit more... That is just one insane weapon -- though the aggravation makes some of the lower levels of Angband much tougher. I suppose what one should do is just lug it around as a swap and use it for big fights only.

I'm gonna try a different class for a change -- one with access to Teleport Other in some form (so either a spell or good magic device skill). It was a real pain not being able to raid vaults due to miserable device skill on the Paladin.

Finally a quick question: Are breaths attenuated in FA?

Interesting about Deathwreaker. I found that for the first time in my last game - as a caster of course! However I was only permitted four blows and the damage was not as high as I was expecting for such a rarity especially being compromised by the number of blows and aggravation! Could you get more blows with it with your Paladin?
