I found Calris while combing the desert in a smallish 'vault' protected by spectres. Man, there is really a noticeable difference! I like it a lot better. There are still monsters and dangers and stuff, but it no longer feels like I'm wading into an ocean of monsters and having to fight countless waves to get to someplace. It feels just right. It doesn't feel vacant and it's not stressful or overly tense. It's... fun! Armsman couldn't wait to get out of the intense desert but Sir Shroom is really enjoying his stay and will probably search for some more treasure troves in the dunes.

Yeah, talk about *bright*. At level 45 I'm supposed to get even brighter! Speaking of Cammithrim, I never actually noticed you could activate it for magic missile before. That was very handy in Amod Rudh for a while. It activated every turn! I'm tempted to use it now but I'm carrying everything but the kitchen sink and need the strength boost.

I went to Lothlann 44 about 10 times. The predominant vault being small with 4 to 5 items, 2 mineral ores side by side with 6 - 7 spirits guarding. With protection from evil and all my buffs, plus standing in rubble this was fun and relatively safe grinding. I came across some greater circle lava filled center vaults and some small square clearing vaults. As I progessed to Lothlann 54 the vault probability skyrocketed. I only came across one level that was boring. Usually the level is created very good or excellent. At 54 there are usually 2-4 of the spirit vaults, 1 small clearing vault and maybe there will be a greater vault, from my experience. I've been in the sun all day.

Turmil is nice. The +4 to wisdom is what is making me choose it over Calris. The throwing hammer of Gondolin gives me 4 attacks and is nice too.
