No selling and no artefacts in Angband mode. I tell you, I could have sworn I was playing O, this game has been tough and frustrating as hell. Can barely kill anything, can't find anything good. Until this level anyway... Entering DL49 I see a scary red dragon pit, which I avoid instead taking out a couple of huge Vrock packs, netting pretty much my first stat potions other than a couple !con and !charisma, a nice little boost. Then I notice a complex full of memser drakes nearby, which nets me dozen more stat potions, sweet. Now I'm looking over at the dragon pit, in much better shape to take it on, at least partially.

For the record, at DL49 my resistances are: 31% fire, 36% cold, 42% dark. Pretty good I'd say, thankfully paladins have temp resistance spells.

Pretty crazy power jump from that level, I gained 3 blows, got a ring with telepathy and an activation for haste (bringing me from +2 speed to +20), gained 4 CLs.
