Ran out of light and, forgetting that he was outdoors at night, rather than in a dungeon, blindly fought his way across two and a half outdoor territories before finally dying to Balcmeg. While blind, he killed all sorts of stuff I thought would be out of his league (a pair of baby dragons together, nearly an entire pack of Snaga, etc.) and gained 2 levels.

Should have just sat and waited for daylight, though. Oh, wait, a hunger ghost ate all his food. I guess he really was screwed. His biggest problem was that it doesn't say there's a stairway when you walk over it while blind. You have to manually go down them. That was annoying.
