The whip came from dropping Arie the Skeleton at 300'. With that I had no problems taking on both orc uniques at once. I'm just waiting to blunder into a pack of fire hounds.

Two bugs there, btw - the character background one, and getting a regular feeling for a themed level; they should each have their own.
