My first Heng char to pass level 30 or so, amd my fourth Android Berserker. Nero has been a lot of fun to play so far, Heng is a great variant! Mostly this guy has had a pretty easy time (ever since Wormtongue dropped Balli Stonehand at level 8 or so of the Yeek Caves), beating quests and uniques without a problem, more recently he's has some close calls. He failed the Old Castle quest *miserably*, got surrounded by summons and ended up chugging his whole stock of healing potions just to stay alive until recall kicked in. And on dlvl ~55 of the Castle, a trap chest surrounded him with Petshop and 3 Lords of Change, and he almost died. Out of Healing potions, he's now in the Mountains to recuperate a little. I think having found Calris is a good omen, my only other char only to find that sword ended up winning (in Vanilla).

Mountains? IMHO, Anti Magic cave is THE place for zerkers and warriors to recover/empower.... And sometimes hi-magical uniques appear deep here, and can be killed real easy...

Elliot, yeah I found Taratol later... also (being a Heng newbie) I hadn't a clue what a Shambler was and didnt bother to research it, so the 700 points of lightning damage was a bit of a shock... no pun intended.
