I'm still using the cheapest of my 3 weapons, the Spear of Acid (2d6) (+6,+8). With 3 blows/turn its clearly better than my Broad Sword (Holy Avenger) (2d5) (+8,+10) [+1] (+2) (2 blows/turn) and my Mace of Disruption of Lightning (5d8) (+7,+8) (1 blow). The latter does some damage, but if the first blow fails I get nothing.
I'm now on dlvl 21 and hounds are getting dangerous. Should stop diving now until finding some better equipment.

First time in this game I had to bail out by teleport level (no scrolls of teleport available right now).

Stupid, but I guess even with my Tulwar of Extra Attacks I wouldn't have any chances yet against here and here summonings.

Still not found any speed items, but found Elvagil. It makes my stealth 'Superb': good for wandering around and swap with the Tulwar for the harder monsters.

Got a wake-up lesson: Before I left that level (heavily burdon already), a pack of Impact (or was it Inertia?) hounds appeared and I didn't recognize my speed drained somewhere below -7. A hidden enchantress saw here opportunity and soon I was cornered by a couple of dragons. When my HP dropped below 500 and I thought "oops, where did the Death Drake suddenly got so much hits from?", I finally realized what's happening here and teleported out.
