Currently at clvl 26 possessing Rich, the Thief doing 265 Normal damage with a Dagger (Armageddon) (5d6) with AC 70, +11 Base Speed, 296 MaxHP, and 34 mana.

It took me forever to get a working Possessor with favorable late game opportunities without screwing up...Hugo$oul 1446 on the rise! Completed some town quests as usual. The carnage picked up once I found a Dagger (Armageddon) (5d6), a Set of Gauntlets of Slaying, and a Jingasa of the Troll. Rich, the Thief defintely delivered with that HUGE speed bonus. For the first time in a REALLY, REALLY long time, I scored the Minotaur of Labyrinth's corpse, which I'll probably use once Rich's time is up at clvl 34 (when he stops gaining experience). Time to take on some more town quests.

The new item generation in 3.3.2 is interesting. I see *a lot more* of the early-game game essentials, like which is great for dungeon exploration incentives. But, this is counter-balanced by lesser stacks or just single non-stack generations of deeper items. While this new change makes sense, I actually liked the old stack generation more, where you see stacks of Teleport Level Scrolls and so on.

Since the last time, I set out to explore more places since the Icky cave.

Completed more dungeons in this order:
Forest -> Chameleon cave -> Orc cave

The forest wasn't anything special, except for 'Nar-i-vagil' After checking the Forest, I dove into the Icky cave, having completely forgotten that I already finished this place before.

After the repeat visit to the Icky cave, I strolled into the Chameleon cave for some entertainment. Found loads of ego items throughout. The fun really picked up once I found the Stone of Lore at Chameleon cave 43 on the ground. While most of the Chameleon cave wasn't so bad, a moment of inattention nearly had me killed once I realized the Chameleon Lord mimicked Garm, the Guardian of Hel!!! I teleported away. I tried to approach him again, and he became Eol. I took a few jabs but the Eol form was too hard. Teleported away. Approached again. He's in the Quaker form. Time to get him...NOPE...because he became Beld, Ruler of Marmo...the insane clvl 48 dude that hits extremely hard with overpowering damage. I tried to get the Chameleon Lord to change forms by just resting in an isolated area and checking with the Rod of Monster Location. But, that Chameleon Lord refused to switch out of the Beld form. After a while, I bailed out. There was no way I could fight the Chameleon in the Beld form.

Back to town, I took on the Sting and Barrow Downs quests. The Sting quest wasn't hard. I made the quick move to annihilate breeders first and wipe out the rest. With the Anti-magic Barbarian Talisman I was wearing, I pretty much prevented monster monsters, like a nearby Death knight, from casting spells at all. The Barrow downs wasn't bad either. Anti-magic was definitely helpful here, preventing most Wraiths from being able to curse at all. I got kind of lucky with Merry's replacement...it had a +4 CON boost.

After those two quests, I made another attempt at the Chameleon Lord. The first few times I spotted him, he was in Eol, Utgard-Loke and Scatha forms, all of them way too tough to even fight. After a while, he was in the Ghatanothoa form, which was actually managable without him breathing force at me. Then, I eventually killed him while he was in the Zoth-Ommog form. He did drop the Chameleon Lord corpse, but what's the use of this?!

Finished with the Chameleon cave, I went after the the Orc cave, which was of course, quite easy at this point.

With these three dungeons done, I'm off to the Camelot. I think I have a fair bit of time left to possess Rich. As soon as I finish the Camelot, I'll head towards the Giant's Hall in hopes of getting a Rock giant or Lesser titan.

Found an issue with the new object statistics tracking. It only tracks objects generated from 3.3.3 onwards. If you upgraded from any older version to 3.3.3, both object tracking lists will be initially blank. For the time being, my chardump notes that I found one ego - because I dropped my Troll headgear and picked it up. So, if I find more egos later on, what gets listed by nane under the Ego section?

I will continue playing Hugo$oul 1446 on 3.3.3 as is. FYI, I did make a backup copy of the old 3.3.2 Hugo$oul 1446 savefile.

I'm halting any other character upgrades to 3.3.3 for now.

If I don't get a Rock giant before clvl 34 or if the Giant's Hall gets too dangerous, I'm bailing out, will switch to King Arthur's body, and will go elsewhere.

I didn't go the Giant's Hall as planned. Instead, I went to the Arena dungeon to take some jabs with higher level foes to avoid boredom. Took short trips to the Anti-magic cave and the Mine too. I nearly got myself killed on my return from the Mine. I switched to King Arthur's body just recently.

While the Speed nerf sucks, King Arthur still has several advantages over Rich, the Thief: King Arthur has +3 Speed, resistances to Acid/Elec/Fire/Cold/Poison/Confusion + Free Action + Reflection + Regen. Rich only has resistance to Confusion + 10+ Speed, and that's it. Without any Potions of Speed and my current speed at +3, I'll have to stay out of the Arena dungeon for now. I don't want to bother with Utgard-Loke either because I can't stand that dude.

Switched around bodies to see which one will help me the most in the Arena dungeon. It turned out that Rich's prevailed the most even without the extra resistances. I seriously underestimated the value of having that extra +10 Speed. In the end, I settled with Rich's body until clvl 34. Even as Rich, the Arena dungeon was no pushover. I nearly got killed by unresisted Darkness storms from a Dark elven shade. From clvl 34 onwards, I switched to the Hell knight so that I could advance. As a Hell knight, my Speed was stuck at a +2, which was way too slow for any safe chance at the Arena dungeon. But, with my HP well over 500, it was time for a possible chance at the Giant's Hall. About half-way through the Giant's Hall, I found a stack of 5 Potions of Speed. Ok, cool. I diverted to the Arena once again. I pummelled through Hoarmurath of Dir and a few a Storm trolls, and this time I got a Storm troll body, and switched to it. Was the Arena any easier? Not really...Had a close call with Baphomet the Minotaur Lord, who seemed way worse than Utgard-Loke. I did get the body of Petshop and proceeded to switch to check it out...+9 Speed + multple resistances seemed worth it...but with ~300 combined Normal damage...Hmmm. After switching to Petshop, everything was well until my stats got swapped in Giant's Halls 32 presumably by a Nexus vortex which nerfed my STR, yet maximized my INT. Continued on with the Giant's Hall all the way to the final level. And then I fought Utgard-Loke with Hand-to-hand combat. At one point, I teleported away for a bit. And then I found a Staff of Speed on the final level, just in time to assist me in taking down this fool! And then, eventually, I had the upper hand and finished off Utgard-Loke. He didn't summon at all the whole time. But, having Petshop's Cold Immunity was a huge help with this fight. It wasn't over...I stayed to get a Rock giant. I didn't find one. Instead, I encountered a 'Troll King' pit! I annihilated all of them and decided to switch to a Troll King at clvl 35. Yet, the Troll King form actually sucked. Even since, my STR got nerfed, I barely got my combined melee damage over 350(?). To keep myself going, I headed to the Angwil swamp in search for an Eldrak who can use small weapons unlike the Troll King. Guess who showed up? It was Scylla & gang. I used the Staff of Speed to haste myself and barged straight into the Hydras. Soon enough, I killed Scylla very quickly. Knowing that I had nothing to lose, I switched to Scylla's body, only to realize that he had no Ring slots and his Attack was way worse than the Troll King or Petshop!! Next body: Topaz monk...This was crap too...238 Combined melee damage, even after damage rings was lame...Next body: Back to the Hell knight again. At least, I can use weapons with the Hell Knight. I think I had the best melee results with the Storm Troll. So, I went back to the Arena...again. I fought this Elder fire giant without too much difficulty. I took this shaft down to Arena 57. I found myself near a druj. I decided to attack it...and of course, the RNG decided to badly screw over my ultimate-character-to-be...and refused to let me to use my Staff of Speed.
