Aeriona didn't live long. She made her initial descent without a melee weapon (Doh!), and so returned to town after DL1 to restock and piced up a walking stick, after which she descended rather quickly.

Upon arriving on DL3, she found herself in a smallish room full of wasps. She headed for the only exit but the wasps woke quickly. Even though she was healthy and well stocked with phase door and healing potions things didn't go well.

Her first few phases just bounced her about the room spreading the wasps. Finally she landed near enough to the exit to make a run for it. She reached the corridor where she decided to make a stand and began swatting down the more than annoying insects.

Just when thing were starting to look up, a novice warrior approached from the opposite direction. She continued to knock down the wasps, hoping to kill most of them before the warrior reached her but there were too many of then and she had to abandon her position once the warrior reached her.

Low on HP, she read her last scroll of phase door hoping to move north to a safer position, instead she blinked south, back into the room full of wasps, still a half dozen or so of which were still buzzing.

Her last ditch effort was to read a previously {tried} scroll to no effect (probably detect invis). The wasps picked her apart before the warrior could reach her, not that it mattered.
