    Sangband links not working

Like the title says... the links to Sangband on the "variants tab/sangband" aren't working (7/14/10).

The only copy I can get to work on Windows 7 is linked here:

The one from camlost's site, http://middendorfproject.googlepages.com/sangband, doesn't work for me.

I hope camlost can get Sang up and running reliably again. It's a work of art.

Leon's site has been dead for a longish while, at least a matter of months. I don't have any hardware running Windows Vista or 7, but if someone can investigate and/or fix, I can try to get it into a stream once I'm less sick.

I reallly think we need to mirror Furytech's mirror site, because the whole history of Angband variants could be lost if we're not careful as a community.

So making a local mirror of the whole Furytech mirror on my hard drive would be a good idea?

And then check it into a remote source control.

                    Sounds like a plan.

                    EDIT:Oops - I think I broke it.

I have a Windows 7 machine at work. Your Sangband code (unofficial beta 2) compiled fine with Visual Studio 2010, and appears to run with no problems. Surprisingly, I don't even see evidence of the solid wall problems which have plagued Vista / Windows 7 users in the past.

If you want to try this executable on your own machine, here's a link (note that this is *only* the recompiled executable):

I haven't really tested this build other than running around the first two dungeon levels.
