How do I change my password on live?

i did ask in live chat yesterday, but it was around the time of posting this (i'm in UK) so i guess a lot of people were asleep? if i remember at a better time i might, if not i'll just deal, probably make a new account like you said when i feel up to playing

I'm not sure if you can. Gwarl has made live very basic in that way. You may just have to use a new username; I would recommend doing that and asking in the live chat, which is probably better informed than me

hi, i had my password for live (not forums, just made that one now) exposed in a data breach and i need to change it, but i can't find where to do that. could i get some assistance?
if it needs to be done manually: same username; i can say something in chat to prove that it's me if necessary (i just might be slow as i'm multitasking badly...)

clarity: afaik it wasn't a breach OF live, just it had a shared password because brain fog
