Today's been The Pogues and Symphony Fantastique... Got to love the ORIGINAL Hells Bells tune, from ~1830.

            I second "Leonard Cohen +1" ;D

Since yesterday greek songs (tragoudia, laiko tragoudia), for example: Nikos Makropoulos

And, of course, the all-time great classic pieces from Telemann, Schubert, Schumann, Mahler and co: Great playlist from LoGH

Found some days ago, quite the funny dude: NGE Cover

              Cthulhus Scorn - Nyarlathotep

Btw, Cthulhus Scorn is basically the Manegarm band with each band member with H.P. Lovecraft names

This masterpiece is one of the best instrumentals I've heard:
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

                  Song: Equiliibrium - Aufbruch (Bonus)

I also randomly found this one - more Tolkien-like I guess:
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Song: Wuthering Heights - Bad Hobbits Die Hard

Speaking of instrumentals, I recently stumbled upon this not-so-recent one:

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Long ago, I loved it; turns out I still do, and judging by the million views on the video, I am not the only one.

That made me listen to my favorite early Floyd song again -- "Julia Dream" -- still great, don't know why it wasn't on an album (other than the later compilations).

I recently discovered the album 'Fetch' by 'Melt banana', some japanese band. Hard to describe, kind of an experimental punk/melodic/noise/electroninc/pop thing. I have no idea what they're singing about, but it sounds pretty cool . (I usually don't care much for lyrics anyway, I listen more to instrumental music, house, soundtracks etc )

                        Youtube link.
Mostly retired Angband player. I just don't have the time .

Here's a wild one from a Japanese band called Boris:
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

                          Song: Boris - Pink

Most recently I listened to Einhorn's. "Voices of Light", a soundtrack written in the 1990s for "Passion of Joan of Arc" from 1928. Great choral music for a brilliant early movie.

Hugo--my trouble with much recent metal is that the chord progressions are seriously hackneyed. The one you link is a case in point: excellent guitar playing, but the tune doesn't remotely compare to (say) Thunderstruck or Technical Difficulties. Those are genuinely interesting musically--as is much Van Halen. TwoCello's cover of Thunderstruck demonstrates just how interesting a tune it really is--not to mention making an utterly hilarious music video.
