    Rogue Legacy and Chasm

Am I a sucker for getting excited about Rogue Legacy and Chasm?

Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

    Some dude playing Rogue Legacy.
There is also some recent Rock Paper Shotgun coverage too.

Chasm has a demo which I enjoyed. I don't have an Xbox controller, but I do have a couple of pc controllers that I use joy2key with for stuff like this. It was fun.

I didn't actually like Spelunky, but these two I might be able to get into.

I hadn't heard of either before, but they both look pretty fun. I'm going to keep my eye on them.

The game I'm most looking forward to right now is Starbound. One of the developers of Terraria put together a new team to make a game like Terraria, but take it several steps further.

I think I sank about 120 hours into Terraria, and probably could have played more if the people I played with didn't move on. For those that never played it, think of making Minecraft 2d and adding a Castlevania-like combat with tons of weapons and items.

I contributed to the Chasm kickstarter; Rogue Legacy looks interesting but I'll hold off until there's a Mac port. It's always nice to see more procedurally-generated games.

Cool, I've been on the fence about kickstarting it but I think I will. I ought to kickstart *something*. I don't have the excuse of not knowing if my pc will run it this time. I keep meaning to check out Terraria, but some demo footage made me think I wouldn't like it... I'm superficial that way. I should watch some lets plays of it, and maybe give it a second chance.

Terraria certainly isn't a game for everyone, but truth be told when I first saw it I had absolutely no desire to play it. The only reason I did was because one of my friends bought a 4-pack on steam and gave me one.

After about a week of it just sitting there in my library he finally convinced me to fire it up. The game gives you absolutely no direction, so my first play session I was pretty confused and was pretty sure it wasn't the game for me. The second time I actually jumped into a multiplayer game with a few other friends who had played it a bit already. They taught me a bit about the game to the point where I kinda knew what to do, and from there I was absolutely hooked.

I am looking forward to playing a character that suffers from IBS. That's certainly original.

              I want this RIGHT NOW.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is an award winning hardcore roguelike rhythm game. Move to the music and deliver beatdowns to the beat! Groove to the epic Danny Baranowsky soundtrack, or select songs from your own MP3 collection!

Oh yeah, and Rogue Legacy out next week. My computer can play part of the demo, and then it crashes when it goes to build the first random dungeon... I hope I can play it.

Starbound? Hmm, sounds like a 2D version of this:

Which in turn is reminiscent of Shores of Hazeron...
