Yammering wall of POE text.
The new patch has breathed life into my old marauder, and I actually had some fun with him for the first time in a long while. I couldn't afford a multistrike gem for initial day prices of 1 exalt+, but the price ought to drop as the days wear on based on the old supply/demand formula I was supposed to have learned somewhere.
Melee splash is cool, however. I had respecced from Axe user to pretty much non-specific high life and resists ground slammer... SNOOZE. Now my heavy strike is up front again. I changed out my gain life on hit for melee splash and went from 4000 dps to 3450 single target damage after leveling the gem a bit, but watching the packs fall around me makes the glad not to have to slam, slam, slam, slam, slam, ... ...
..........
I might try out infernal blow tonight. I was good to myself and had stockpiled a decent number of passive and respec tree points for if and when I ever got any direction for this guy. He's level 64, in middle of merci act 2, ~2900 life, resists close to 80. IGN: Axbeard. My ranger, The_Red_Baroness, is 60, and is a horrible mess. She was fun through Cruel, but now pretty much broken. She used Maligaro's and Death's Harp and Crit Weak curse to get lots of critical hits.
