    Roguelike Radio

There's a new podcast dedicated to roguelikes that I'm involved with over at http://roguelikeradio.blogspot.com/ that you might want to have a listen to.

We're debating when exactly we should be talking about Angband, but it has come up several times already.

"takes like 5 years before you are able to win"

ne'er truer word was spoken. Be this a good or bad thing, it's mostly definitely true.

So, two years and 84 episodes later, the Angband episode has just been recorded. It was hosted by Darren Grey, included magnate, myshkin, fizzix and me, and lasted a tick under three hours (unedited).

Should be up some time in the next week.

Exciting! Congrats on finally doing an episode. I've listened to the show many times and have eagerly anticipated the inevitable Angband episode.

why are they teasing the angbanders like this?

they promise it and months later they still ask us to tune in for the angband dev team.

they're probably gonna devote more time to 7drl and promise to do an angband episode next time.

                It was an angband smash.

I think Darren is quite busy IRL at the moment, and I know that if he wants a single episode of reasonable length there's going to be a lot of editing.

That said, I'm also sick of waiting

Sorry all, I really want to get this out soon but I haven't had time to do the edit (the recording was almost 3 hours, the edit takes at least twice that long).

If any kind soul feels like volunteering to do the audio edit I'd happily hand the file over!

So what actually IS roguelike radio?
Seen it mentioned several times, just curious.

Obviously I could just listen to it, but I was hoping someone would sell it to me so I don't miss anything!

It's a podcast where they talk about roguelikes. It can be pretty interesting, but I don't listen regularly.

                          I'm not volunteering, I'm sorry

I may have suggested this before, Darren, but is doing it in two parts an option, and would that make it easier?

I binge-listened everything a couple of years ago, and it affected Halls of Mist design A LOT. I'll binge-listen all the new episodes some day.

(At the moment I'm binge-working. The next HoM will see release some sunny day.)

A podcast with a very unenlightened attitude towards randomness but otherwise interesting ideas.
