Subquests - how many? (NPP, others)

    Hi all
I've been looking at NPP a little of late, and have a question for the experienced players - what strategies do you apply to to guild quests? Do you spend the entire game doing as many as possible, or ignore them altogether? Do you stick to the easier quests or do the hardest ones available?
    Pray tell.

I often do the dl 1 quest for some extra gold and to advance a few easy levels. After that, I prefer to dive fast enough that quests are just about impossible.

I recommend doing quests until you get confusion resistance. You should stash all the potions of resist an element you can at home. The great thing about quests is knowing in advance to bring a stack of a particular potion.

Quests for coin pits seem to be rather hard. I don't think I've ever survived any, even when playing kobolds for innate RPoison.

It's pretty easy, but tedious, with a Kobold Rogue. You need:

          1. Lots of ammo for your (fully enchanted) sling
          2. Detect Treasure spell, also Magic Mapping and plenty of illumination is good.
          3. Staff of Teleportation for trouble.
          4. Plenty of Phase door for temporary escape
          5. An inordinate amount of patience.
          6. Plenty of !CCW, just in case.

I'll need to try it again. My main error has been doing quests in rapid succession, and therefore not having anything like that amount of consumables.
It looks like it'll be quite painful scumming low levels to get enough gold for all that kit though.

Sometimes, first quests are easy gold and easy XP.
Sometimes, Bullroarer is waiting you in the first room of dlvl1.

I always do all the quests in the beginning of the game.
But when, after a few quests, the guild give me the choice between a pit or a unique monster, I cannot decide.
              Overconfident ?
