    I think Sil counts.

No teleportation does not count as instant teleportation.

Can you name any other game besides Crawl where teleportation is non-instantaneous.

I think Ironband has potions of delayed teleport. It works well since you have to figure out whether you're likely to survive until it teleports you or if you should burn an instant one. I'm not convinced it's possible to put into V, since it's a significantly worse version of an item that V is designed around you being rather likely to have, on the whole.

Word of Recall is delayed teleport level, so V does technically already have that. No-one uses Word of Recall as an escape unless they're absolutely desperate. Same way no-one would use delayed teleport unless they were desperate and also happened to be carrying it for whatever reason.

On that note, berserkers in the hengbands cannot read or use devices, so they do not have access to phase door or teleportation. They do get the 'recall' ability which counts as their only 'escape', and it takes many turns to kick in.

Diablo 1 had teleportation that took different amounts of time to execute depending on which class you were playing, Wizard (fastest)/Rogue (medium) /Warrior (slowest). Not a roguelike, but, that would be my best closest to a roguelike example I can think of.
                  You are on something strange

A fine idea. Question: Is there already a variant called "goodband"?

Given how your ideas have gone over, you might want to call it "badband" instead, as in "You guys thought these ideas were bad, but now see how they play and I'll prove you wrong."

I don't need to fight to prove I'm right.

I don't believe so. I'll be looking forward to it - I think many of your ideas are interesting, I mainly disagree with your belief that they're inevitable
