    Sangband Macros

Hello, i recently started playing Sangband again, and having lot's of fun. One thing that's been bugging me though, is when i create a spell macro. (maa*t) etc. the spellbook is being displayed.
I've never encountered this before in any other variant and am at a loss how to fix it. I'm playing with the tiles on, seeing how this and Faangband look so great, if that makes a difference.
Iv'e played around a bit with delay but that doesn't seem to work, any help would be appreciated.

Would you believe it, what seems like the same bug cropped up in this thread recently - in Oangband.

If it helps, I completely failed to solve it there

To recap, the issue is that somehow, the display lists option seems to screw up spellbook choice, but only in macros/keymaps.

I think I fixed this in NPP. Check out the use of the variable show_menu in get_spell_menu in cmd5.c. Somewhere I got it to figure out if a macro was being run, but I don't remember where in the code or how.

::clicking "submit reply" with the sinking feeling I wasn't nearly as helpful as I aspired to be::

I just tried making a the macro, a keymap instead (\e\e\emaa*t) and it works perfectly now.

I recommend using . instead of *t. Assuming you're just trying to target the closest monster with the macro, that is.
