I like the idea - but what about non-weapon items
? Punching/kicking them for gauntlets/rings/shoes? Throwing amulets and armor until the monster is dead

This won't be fixed for beta2, I'm afraid, which may be late, BTW, perhaps even the next weekend, not this one, we'll see. I was quite busy, too...
But I did finally manage to find some in the dungeon tonight.
