    Praises, Questions and a Request

First off, I love Sil. It has completely dominated my banding since it was released. I have died so many times I no longer bother thinking up names for my characters because it takes longer to name them than it does to kill them it seems.

Secondly, I have a couple questions about Majesty and Song of Elbereth, do their morale reducing effects stack? and are they applied each turn or only once?

Lastly, a request, would it be possible to allow upgrading or reforging an existing item rather than creating a completely new item. I'm not sure how it would work but it would be nice to be able to do.

Ooh, I forgot to add one thing. I had a 6' 1" elf weighing 170 and a 7'9" elf weighing 173. That seems a little unrealistic that adding over a foot and a half of height only added 3 of whatever the weight unit is. Also if it is pounds then a 7'9" elf weighing 173 lbs is gonna get broken in half just trying to tie his shoes with his mail on.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Majesty provides a fixed penalty to every monster's morale (the number below their health). This penalty gets bigger with higher Will. The only way to stop the penalty is to go to the ability screen and turn Majesty off (or take off an item that was granting you the ability). The Song of Elbereth is different. It makes a skill check between your Song score and the opponent's Will for each *intelligent* opponent, modified by a couple of things including the distance they are from you. The amount that you succeed by gets added to their temporary penalty to morale, which slowly decays over time. If you stay near them, you will be increasing this penalty when you succeed and it will be decreasing over time as well, so there are a couple of effects there. All morale things stack, including Majesty and Elbereth.

As for reforging items, this is scheduled to appear in a future version since it is so canonical (Anduril). I'm not sure how it will work though.

The height and weight ranges are canonical based on some comments Tolkien makes and assuming these comments to be consistent. Elves are very tall in his world! The numbers are determined independently though, like in Angband, so it will produce a few odd results. I could add it to my list of things to fix, but it would be so low down it would never happen...
