You can press 'o' to move the target manually, though this is definitely an area to improve. Or you should be able to use the arrow keys also.

Just started playing newest version of sang, downloaded from the website, I took the oath of iron and started using warrior talents. I noticed that when using the( lunge ) talent with a monster 2 paces away, alows a character to attack continuosly, without the monster moving at all, either to attack or run away, he is basicaly petrified it seems. makes it very easy to eliminate nasty's like Nar the dwarf, or large crowds.Comment

I think camlost already knows about this, and has fixed it in the source code, but not yet in a released version.Comment

I tried to sell wand of spark - and 0 gold too.
What happened? Something i not found on this forum, something i didnt turn on?
I have 1.02 version, Windows XP, playing barehanded High elf.
In help file was something about bargain skill, but i didnt found it so i cant advance it.

I'd guess you have "no selling" on, assuming SAngband has the same option that Vanilla does (and I think Vanilla got the option from SAngband, so it would!). In "no selling", the only purpose of selling items to the stores is to ID them -- you get no money from it. Money only comes from money drops in the dungeon. This saves you from having to carry around a bunch of junk solely for the purpose of selling it.
SAngband may have this be optional, as it is in Vanilla, but it'd be a birth option. Hit '=' during character creation to check.Comment

Can't type "4" or "6" as text
Environment: Vista
Version: 1.02 release
I'm encountering a really frustrating bug where I can't enter "4" or "6" for inscriptions, notes, etc. I can successfully use them for movement. Rather than entering their respective numbers, they move the cursor left or right, respectively. The problem exists both for the numpad keys and the number row keys. Switching to a non-English keyboard and entering numbers by the alternate keypresses required in that keyboard also gives this behavior.
Not being able to @m4 my pb4 or @z4 any rods, etc., is kind of frustrating...So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.Comment

Dual-weapon inventory-overflow deletion bug still extant
Just lost my i-slot weapon to a bug I thought had long been quashed.
- wielding weapons in a and i
- inventory full
- wielded a 2-hander off the ground
- accepted for the 2-hander to knock the i-slot weapon out of its slot

While I'm at it... there's a grating interface imperfection regarding the Priest spell Scan Object that I've never gotten around to complaining about. It's wands - they are offered up as an item to scan even when scanning will provide no new information on them, and for that matter, even when they have already been scanned.
Oh! And another one I keep forgetting to mention: escaping out of the use of an 'A'ctivatable object costs a turn, unlike escaping out of any other process. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.Comment

Hi I am new here. I encountered a few bugs and I am so OCD I don't feel like playing until I make sure I'm not doing something wrong.
Bug? 1: Minimum Horizontal View Distance does not load correctly when I load user.prf. I know it saves correctly because the change is reflected in user.prf when I save.
Bug? 2: Customized left panels are not saved or not loaded at all. When I start a new character I have to recustomize the left panel.
Bug? 3: Subwindows are not saving/loading correctly. Once, I tried playing around with subwindows and changed all my subwindows to display the inventory. Subsequently, every new character I started begins with 5 inventory subwindows, even after I change them and save those options are default options. (I.e. I configure the windows to be Monster Recall, Equipment, Visible Monsters, Inventory and Messages, then I save as default options. When I start a new character, I get 5 inventory windows instead)
Bug? 4: Subwindows seem to be missing the first line of text. For example, the command list is missing the 789 characters. The inventory is missing item a). Equipment is missing the wielded weapon. There don't seem to be a similar problem for Monster Recall or Visible Monsters though.
Another UI issue: How do I get more subwindows? When I choose "Fullscreen, subwindows" under options --> user interface, it gives me 5 windows. These 5 windows are occupy only 60% of my screen, and there's 40% of the space on the right (under the map) that is wasted. How do I put this space to use?Comment
