    Beleriand alpha

There is now an updated main branch consisting of preliminary code based on NarSil at the Beleriand github repository, and "playable" Windows and Mac versions and source on the releases page.

I can't emphasise enough that this is not yet a fully functional game. Many planned features are poorly implemented or absent, and it has numerous bugs, some of which will cause crashes (generation of rivers is particularly buggy and unfinished). I've put the current code on Github largely so I can then file bugs in a sensible way (instead of the current system of bits of paper), check building, etc. I will also continue to rebase the main branch so that it has all the latest changes, fixes etc to NarSil; this is usually bad repository management, but whatever. At some stage that will probably stop, perhaps when I have a real version out.

With all that said, the game as it is does contain at least stubs of most of the things I am planning to include in fuller form. It started in 2011 as an open world version of FAangband, and has evolved a bit since then; I hope it eventually becomes a game that at least I enjoy playing.

EDIT: I should add, to Gwarl if you happen to be reading - I don't think this is ready to go on angband.live yet.
