[Un] Unangband 0.6.2-wip6 has been released

Then sun/moon feels very atmospheric, but I can't quite feel the tower. I guess it seems narrower towards the top to show it's so high, but something spoils the impression for me. Perhaps the entrance is too big/too blurry. Or something. Anyway, a very distinctive icon, not just another stupid logo with blond half-orc beauty in the background.

Stupid question

Having played Angband in the last month, decided to take Unangband for a spin, latest 0.6.2-wip6 version on win2k.

Huh... where is the dungeon stair? I feel really stupid, but for the life of me can't find a stair or any kind of exit anywhere on Hobbiton. Can someone help a (obviously clueless) newbie out here, please

Yeah, there used to be a message at startup that you can travel in wilderness by pressing '<', but it got removed in the last release. Of course, Hobbiton, a respectable town, has no dungeons.

Head to the left of the screen and press '<' should do it.

No need to head to the left of the screen. Just press '<' whey you are well-fed, a little menu will open, listing available locations, some with dungeons (their starting and ending depth is shown), choose one and see if it suits you. (Warning: Farmer Maggot's Farm is deadly for beginners, as seen by the depths.)

I ended up downloaded a neat pack of OS/X tools to do the conversion. Having said that, I have a sneaking suspicion that SVN has munged the file...
I'll have to wait and see when/if someone does a windows compile.

Suspicion confirmed. I compiled with mingw, and it complained that it only got 2639 in a read of 2640 or something.

Looks like I'll have to release the source package again, based on this and the other thread.
