Attempt to post a Hengband Katteban dump failed

It's been a while, so I may just be doing something dumb, but my attempts to post a Gesouband dump (yes, I did edit it to say Katteban) failed. I thought I'd check to see if the migration to the new platform (all hail Gwarl) was the problem before trying again.

While I'm sure there are plenty of far more pressing things to attend to on the new site, it would be greatly appreciated if the Gensouband ladder could be adjusted to rank by score - something Pav never got around to doing despite many requests.

On that topic, ideally the ladder should accept dumps tagged with 'Gensouband' as well and rename the variant name on server side.

I'll try and get round to this but honestly I have little idea of how the ladder really works to it may take some time.

Also 'Hengband Katteban' I am told makes no sense because Katteban simply means version so when I figure this out we'll rename our ladder to Gensouband as the variant was.

From what I understand, 'Katteban' is a term in JP community used to refer to modified *band versions; Hengband is the most popular variant, so most of those modifications will alter it in some way, and the Touhou variant is the most popular modification, to the point it can get called 'Hengband Katteban' for short. Incidentally, if out Frogcomposband/Poschengband would have gained enough popularity in JP community, they might've gotten similar 'katteban' nicknames as well.

Thanks for the prompt reply Gwarl, but can you clarify whether there's currently a problem posting to the Gensouband ladder in its current format, or whether the problem is on my end . If you're not sure, maybe Cryomaniac can try to post a dump. The error messages (a long, but repetitive list) seemed to imply a failure to find info related to Morgoth in the dump, suggesting it was parsing it as a vanilla dump. Maybe.

Thanks. I got it to work this time round. It's a rerun of a Nightmare Cannonball Sakuya, and I didn't want to overwrite (again) my previous run. It seems if you use the change name option in the character screen, it only allows you to change the class name, and doing this seems to result in a dump failure. So this time, I just edited the name in the text dump, and it worked fine.
