I have seen the competition, but I already played a Q to levels 30ish and its a big grind that I don't want to deal with. Now a possesor challenge would be fun. Especially if you started with a specific body and a cursed item so you were stuck with it for the short term.

It might be worth trying another browser and seeing if you get better results.

Afaid I pretty much stuck with this brower since some of the programs I use only update properly with I E.

You could continue to run IE as your default browser, and use another (Chrome, say, or Firefox) for things that don't work with IE. Sadly there are quite a few things on the net that will work with one browser but not another - still, I will pass your issue on to pav (if he's not reading this...).

When I've downloaded competition savefiles from oook, they were treated as .txt files for me also, but they still work. Just rename it to remove the extension.

              With what (if any) extension?

No extension at all. Oddly enough, if you leave it as .txt it works just as well.

I tried but it says 'savefile from furture'
                  broken savefile.

                  Then it crashes the game.

I'd crash too if I were a game and someone tried to use a savefile from the FUTURE.

I'd do it in self-defense. Obviously the user is a time-traveller and could go back and do something well-meaning but destructive like stopping COBOL from ever being written, unless I slow him down *now* by hindering his 'banding!

That's weird. Do you have the version from the furytech mirror?

I have the the verision that was posted in this thread. It works fine when using it own savefile.

Try unzipping this and see if it works:

I have checked and it's true, the server is serving these save files as text/plain. I have reconfigured it to serve them as application/octet-stream (from that directory only), should help.
