Quickband Problem

I just DLed Quickband to give it a try. I am on Vista. Every time I try to start a game up, the character selection goes just fine, but once I accept the character I get "Can't Create the Notes File" and it closes down.

Any Ideas?

No ideas myself, perhaps someone else will be able to comment?

If the problem relates to the game, then it will be from 4.x versions of NPP - I don't think I changed anything relating to notes. It may be something that is already fixed in NPP 5.x.

This is usually a permissions problem in windows - not having admin priveleges, or something like that. The quick fix is to set 'no notes' (or whatever) in the birth options.

I just confirmed what Antoine and Nick predicted on vista: 'No notes' fixes things for both quickband and npp 0.41, and npp 0.50 doesn't have the problem.

Alternatively, if your account is an admin, go to the .exe file's properties, then compatibility, and turn "run this program as an administrator" on.
