Hey fellas, I've been keen to have another season on angband and am trying to find the variant I used to play. Bear in mind it's been a while, and it's possible I'm actually getting confused and referring to two variants.
1) the first thing about it was that I would get percentage increases in things like spell schools, etc, and I seem to recall when I would 'level' (or the equivalent) I would cast a few spells in the school (or perhaps several schools) and watch my percentages lift a little? I think it might have been the same mechanic for hit points and getting hit, when I would reach a milestone (level-up?) I would get more hp every time I got hit for a while?
2) There was a mindcrafter class that used something other than mana I think, but I thought a hybrid class of the mindcrafter also that was able to use mindcrafting as well as maybe spell schools as well? Again, when you would level-up (or whatever with xp) you would be able to cast some powers that would lift your percentage and open up new powers?
I'm hoping that this is all in the one variant and that it's available. I really did enjoy it. Anyone got any ideas which one it is, or am I just really confused?
